These covers are not padded and as such are intended for transporting your wheels in the car, storage or inside another bike bag or case. They are not designed to use as checked luggage and we do not recommend it. They are made of a very strong and thick material; outside with 600 Denier and a separate layer inside of PU mesh with a silver coating that is very easy to wipe grease off of. The bag also has a hub protector piece on both sides to keep the sharp point of the hub or QR from ripping the bag. You can leave the skewer on the wheel inside the bag, without causing fitting problems. There are no internal pockts for holding the skewer, but they can be left in.
The cover is sized for both road wheels of a standard 28" sizeand MTB tires (26"). You may have to let out some air for super wide downhill MTB tires.
