Very high range sunglass with truly remarkable technical features. The frame is made of Grilamid™ TR90 material: very light, shock resistant, safe and elastic (virtually unbreakable). The nose-pad is made of TPR hypoallergenic material. Three sets of lenses: photo chromic, red revo or blue iridium (depending on the model) and orange hydro phobic and oil phobic. These last lenses in particular, manufactured in France, are made of Makrolon®. Makrolon® from Bayer Material Science is one of the best molding compound nowadays available on the lens market and is known for its high light transmission (totally clear and transparent), high heating resistance, great toughness and very good dimensional stability. The Orion Surface Treatment technology (O.S.T.) allows these very special lenses to be completely hydro phobic and oil phobic. Therefore rain, mud, sweat and various types of oils do not stick at all to these lenses but go away very easily. This leads to a sharp, clear and unobstructed vision without any type of smear with other important benefits among which the low maintenance of the lenses: smudges wipe off easily, no smearing nor streaking, no oil nor sweat smears, no dirt nor fingerprints, no blurred vision because the vision stays instead sharp and crystal clear at all times. The photo chromic lenses instead (that we purchase from the U.S.A. manufactured in a ISO 9001 environment) are of clear colour (87% of light transmission) but in presence of sun (and therefore of UV-A and UV-B rays) the same become grey coloured (20% of light transmission) depending on the intensity of the same. It takes them only 8 seconds to go from clear to grey and 60 seconds to go from grey again back to clear (they are among the most efficient lenses available on the market). Obviously these amazing lenses, just like all the Power Race™ ones, 100% protect against UV-A and UV-B rays. Last “little detail” is the fact that they also are 100% completely anti-fog (They don’t get fogged not even on boiling water at 100°!!! check them out!!). For professional cyclists. I had my Bolle, Smith and Oakley-wearing friends try them all on and give me their comparison opinions. The "clarity" of the lens is very comparable. The fit of the glasses is also similarly comfortable. If one of our models doesn't fit, we can exchange it for another, with 100% product credit. Except for the nose piece of the Top Gun model, none of the nose or ear pieces are 'user-adjustable'. An optometrist has special equipment for heating the plastic and making bends to fit a person's head, but this should not be attempted yourself. All of our sunglasses offer 100% UVA and UVB protection. Glasses with interchangeable lenses have been tested by accredited agencies and meet the ANSI Z80.3 standard for UV safety and quality. They also comply with the European quality standards (EEC Law 86/686) and meet European Norm 1836/1997. The Z80.3 standard tests for UV absorption at different frequencies of light. UVA is from 315-380nm and UVB from 290-315nm, which is why you often see the UV400 symbol now, meaning that the lens absorbs UV light under 400 nano meters. The Z80.3 standard also tests for color blockage of traffic signals: we passed. These glasses also passed the test for extended exposure to UV, meaning they provide the same UV protection under prolonged (all-day) use in intense sun.

All of the interchangeable lenses are made of polycarbonate shatterproof plastic and meet the ANSI Z87.1 standard for eye protection from flying objects. Which means you can wear these when shooting, using power tools, on job sites or gardening. These glasses are especially well suited to cycling, motorcycle riding, golf, tennis and triathlon. Paintball shooters should always wear eye protection with ANSI ratings. Goggles are best for this, but a wrap around sunglass would also give some protection.
