The benefits of the ORION superficial treatment technology(O.S.T.) allow these very special lenses to be totally hydrophobic andoilphobic. Therefore rain, mud, fat, sweat, and various types of oilsdo not stick at all on these very special lenses but go away veryeasily. They also complywith the European quality standards (EEC Law 86/686) and meet EuropeanNorm 1836/1997. The Z80.3 standard tests for UV absorption at differentfrequencies of light. UVA is from 315-380nm and UVB from 290-315nm,which is why you often see the UV400 symbol now, meaning that the lensabsorbs UV light under 400 nano meters.
